Don't worry, I'm still alive

Published: 12.01.2017

Hello,

Lately, I've been busy doing lots of things and experiencing new stuff, so I didn't have much time to continue writing my blog. Finding an internet connection is always a bit challenging anyway.

During Christmas, I met many new people. We celebrated with two ex-colleagues and their friends/acquaintances of two of my travel mates.

The next day, we continued to the next campsite. It was really in the middle of nowhere.

To get there, we had to drive for over 1.5 hours on a gravel road through the mountains. Even though it probably wasn't good for the car, it was worth it for the view. Unfortunately, I had a migraine, so I didn't see as much as I would have liked.

Because we liked it there so much, we quickly decided to extend our stay by one day.

Then we continued to Oamaru, a small coastal town. On the way there, we made a few stops and I saw a wild penguin for the first time (and lots of seals).

After our day trip to Oamaru, we drove to our next campsite north of Dunedin.
