Aren't they just amazing? The chestnut horse is named Gordon (named after a successful horse of his father Magnus) and the black horse is named Asgeier (named after the Viking who founded the farm). Both stallions are 3 years old and are absolutely cool and fun to watch.
Yesterday evening, I was extremely tired, so yesterday's blog turned out to be a bit shorter. But today, I have more to report. First of all, I have to say, it's almost like I've never been away. Even the weather is just as beautiful as in summer. Just a few degrees colder, but those who know me know that's exactly right. Yesterday's work mainly consisted of preparations for the round-up, of course, in addition to the usual work, breakfast, guesthouse, stable, etc. Magnus is hosting the big party here, so he is transforming the riding hall into a bar with a stage and seating. He posted about it on Facebook and so many people have already seen the post. However, I have to mention that yesterday was Poranna's birthday and she came by and we had a few beers to celebrate her birthday and the video was made during that time. Everyone here is really excited about the weekend. Last night, Boris and Petra from Germany arrived, and just now the nice Norwegian Bjartur arrived as well. The house is slowly filling up. It seems that there will be about 15 people here for the weekend. I started the day with a wonderful ride in the sunshine. Boris was instantly in love with Pila, he got along really well with her, and Petra managed well with the speedy horse Gletta. Both of them were absolutely happy and satisfied when we returned from a very fast ride. It's great that they are both really nice and I can speak German with them on the weekend... grinning. Now I have to finish - work is calling...
