After our first walk in the morning led us back to the sandy beach, we drove to a peninsula near Dunedin and then met up with Eve and Franzi (a friend from Auckland) for a coffee. After visiting the art gallery together, we said goodbye again as we continue to travel in different directions.
Along the east coast heading north, we passed by the Natural Cave.
At Shag Point, we saw some seals and I have to say it's just a thousand times more beautiful to see the animals in their natural habitat.
Aside from the seals, I also find it so lovely to see so many rabbits freely hopping around.
At Katiki Point Lighthouse, I saw some seals again, lying just a few meters away, sleeping or relaxing.
In the water, we also saw a sleeping baby seal, or at least I assumed it was, and shortly after, I even saw the Yellow Eyed Penguin.
Our journey also took us to the Moeraki Boulders, and then it was already getting dark and we drove to a campground in Hampden where there were also many rabbits hopping around.
For dinner, we had Toast Hawaii and then it was already time for bed.
Today, I have experienced and seen so much again, and somehow it's nothing special anymore because it has become so normal to experience so many amazing things.
