Singapore...

Short breakfast, then go out... explore the city. I first walk 20 minutes to Suntec City Mall, one of many shopping temples in the city. There is a fountain here, with many beautiful water features, I walk around it 3 times and touch the water with my right hand, hoping a wish will come true and that can never hurt. From here, the lines of the hop-on-hop-off buses also start, you can ride different lines in an open double-decker bus and get off or change in between. I buy a 24-hour ticket and take the next bus that comes. It goes crisscross through the city until I get off at Chinatown. A stroll through the narrow streets with all the delicious smells saves me from hunger, I sit at a table on the street and watch the people streaming by while enjoying a Tiger beer and a pleasantly spicy meat dish. Very cozy. Then I continue on various lines, at some point a heavy rain starts, which also makes it uncomfortable under the bus's canopy. I escape into a mall again and wander through the aisles until I ride up to the observation deck of Marina Bay Sands in the evening, which is the building with the banana on top. You have a great panoramic view up here (57th floor), and water shows are illuminated in front of the building for a while... But then it starts raining again, I take the bus towards Sultan, eat some crabs in Marsala just before, and then end the evening with a beer.
