5* is better

Published: 30.05.2024

Of course, our holiday went to Turkey again, to be precise to Kumköy, near Evrenseki.

Very nice there.

The 5* hotel was right on the beach, had 3 slides, and for smaller kids there was also a slide tower with 3 slides, a pool in the upper area - the whole thing was between the main building and the annex. The second pool was between the beach and the main building.

Facility was really great.

Our room was in the main building, a standard double room with an extra bed, as that was enough for us (we're actually only there to sleep and shower). We had a newly renovated room, a mini balcony with a "side sea view", and the bathroom was also OK.

The location was great, shops right on site and the beach was nice and clean with great sand.

Service in the hotel leaves a lot to be desired, even in the evenings it's self-service unless you find a "waiter" who wants to serve you, everyone just clears away - nobody really wanted a tip, the guys found their cell phones interesting.

Food, well, I think you can always find something at a buffet and we didn't starve. BUT I know it to be different from our hotels in Turkey and maybe we are just too spoiled.

For breakfast only the omelette made by the staff (no special requests or one you put together yourself), fried egg, rolls, toast, fruit (always nectarine, orange whole or quartered, grapefruit sliced, apples and apricots) cheese, sausage, muesli.

If you want freshly squeezed juice you have to pay - it's not available!

Courage Day:

At the upper pool- fish, pasta, nuggets, fries, salad, waffles

At the lower pool:

a la carte restaurant, select, order at the counter and pick up (burgers, pasta, pizza ..)

We didn't have lunch in the main restaurant.

Gözleme was made at the beach bar, but one time the chocolate ran out at around 1:30 p.m. and there was no more left, even though they make it until 4 p.m.

Evening:

Only the main restaurant was open. The main course was basically the same every day and the food was rather cold, even though we were mostly there by 6:30 p.m.

Main courses and soup were always the same, dessert changed and banana and melon were also available in the evening.

90% of drinks were served in plastic cups.

Our conclusion:

Cesar Side

5* is better, but I wouldn't recommend it because the food and service were just not good.
