06.08.16 | Day 14 | Farol da Barra

Today we visited the oldest fort on the coast: Santo Antonio da Barra. It was built in 1534. Since 1698, the lighthouse has been located on the fort, which lights up every evening. The light can even be seen from our apartment when it runs along the facades of the skyscrapers. Inside the fort, there is a small museum. The path up to the lighthouse is very narrow and includes many steps, but the view from up there is worth the effort!

On the way back, we were able to watch a beach artist at work.
