Hello Waikiki

The flight from Vancouver to Honolulu was very pleasant and relatively short at 5 hours. Fortunately, I only need the Aqua Queen Kapiolani hotel for one night, as the room is quite old and needs renovation. I will arrive around 11:00 PM and I am quite tired from the long day.

The next day starts with a phone call from home at 5:40 AM. So, I am awake and I will explore Waikiki Beach. It is wonderful as there are hardly any people. And I treated myself to breakfast at the oldest hotel, The Royal Hawaiian, right on the beach. The pink pancakes were heavenly, and the view of the beach was very calming. Slowly, I had to make my way back as I had to fly again. However, I stumbled upon a surf contest along the beach and watched some young people.

The flight from Honolulu to Hilo on Big Island lasted for an hour.
