The first day of my trip was anything but uneventful.
In the morning, I went to Munich Central Station with two fully packed backpacks to catch the train to Berlin. Unlike other journeys with Deutsche Bahn, this one went without any disruptions and I arrived at Berlin Central Station as planned at 3:30 pm. However, I encountered a minor setback there as I managed to knock my watch off my wrist while putting on the big backpack. By the time I realized it, it was already too late, someone had already taken it. So, I got used to looking at my phone instead of my wrist and took the Berlin S-Bahn to the hostel.
There I met Maximilian and Basti, who had arrived two days earlier and were already busy working. We bought a small snack at the Aldi around the corner and then sat in the hostel lobby to continue working on the platform for Fezitty (Berlin game city).
In the evening, we went into the city and visited some of the major sights of Berlin. The food at a Lebanese restaurant was delicious and we met two Berliners who also supervise Fezitty and walked around the city with us. To pass the time until our last team member arrived, we sat in some sun loungers by the Spree, but had to leave them quickly due to rain. After a short shower, Julian arrived at the central station shortly after midnight and we went back to the hostel together, where we fell exhausted into bed.
