first day in NYC

At 12:00 Eastern American Time, we reached our first destination. After finding our hosts' house, we set out to explore the neighborhood around our accommodation in Astoria (Queens) and then Central Park in the heart of Manhattan. Afterwards, we also personally met Nancy, our host. She is very nice, accommodating, and helpful.

Now, after almost 24 hours on tour, we are really exhausted and will go to bed early so that we are ready for our sightseeing tour and the public viewing of the Germany match in the nearby 'Beer Garden' tomorrow.
