The last two days were "driving days" to cover the large distance from Hervey Bay via Rockhampton to Arlie Beach.. (almost 1000km)
We traveled through different landscapes and vegetation zones...
After a short stop at the fishing shop and in Gladstone, we continued through the endless cattle pastures in the Beef Capital near Rockhampton to the huge sugar cane fields near Mackay...
In the distance, large bushfires were once again visible, with high dark smoke columns!
Tomorrow we will take the high-speed catamaran to the Whitsunday Islands... we hope that the weather and the wind cooperate.
