And at 11:35 p.m. a plane from Tallinn actually landed, which was supposed to take us back there. As soon as it touched the ground in Vilnius, the boarding call came and we were transported to the runway by bus. However, we couldn't board yet because there was no light in the cabin. The friendly Estonian flight attendant then spoke overhead on the stairs to the waiting passengers (probably a total of 20) something about 'Problemi' in Estonian, which all Estonian passengers seemed to find amusing before entering the aircraft. There was no translation. While waiting, I met an American pilot who was on vacation in Europe, and he spartanically said, 'as long as the engine runs, I give a shit...' and by then I felt the same.
We were rewarded - not by the crew, from whom we did not find out the reason for the four-hour delay, nor at Vilnius Airport, and who actually collected 3 Euros for a beer - but by nature. During the approach to Tallinn at 1:00 a.m., it was still not completely dark - in the west - and it was already dawn from the east. So these are the white nights and they really have something magical.
