In the small town of Tennant Creek, we refueled. Due to a lack of seating, we eventually sat on bleachers at a public stadium.
We arrived relatively late at the Devil's Marbles. We walked around a bit, then we lost the others. Since they didn't show up for a while, our group also walked around some more. Lena didn't want to walk anymore and jokingly asked me if I could give her a piggyback ride. The joke turned serious, as I missed doing sports anyway and saw it as the perfect opportunity. So I carried her up the hill and back down. I was exhausted, but we were both happy in the end.
At the campsite, our paths diverged a bit again. We were allowed to camp for free in front of a hotel in the middle of nowhere. Or as the Chinese would say: pay and camp in the courtyard with shower facilities.
