As it goes, I've felt at home in the Wake up! Cairo Hostel by now! So I had to hold back a tear at the farewell, especially because of Amir. We hung out together all week and he's become a good friend! Now I've moved to a fancy hotel at the airport for my last night (yes, I'm a luxury bitch, I know) and took advantage of the gym and pool. It's really difficult to maintain my performance right now, my diet is so-so and once a week of sports is already meager. But yeah, I know, I'm still enjoying my world trip and it's not that important :)
What have I been up to all week (or since Wednesday) in Cairo?
To be honest, I spent quite a lot of time chilling in the hostel, enjoying Egyptian food, went to the City Star Mall and the cinema with Amir (we watched the movie 'Don't breathe', a really weird horror movie haha), went to a concert where Amir was working (classical Egyptian music), visited the pyramids, and yeah, that's about it. I could have done a lot more, but that was just perfect for me to not be too stressful!
Still, I can only say, I love Cairo and I definitely want to come back! I mean, there are still so many other places in Egypt to explore and learn Arabic, but that's on my waiting list for now.
I'll keep it short today because the internet here at the hotel is crap and there's a belly dance show coming up, of course I'll watch it! I'll try to upload pictures, but no promises and I'll get back to you soon from Beirut (my flight leaves tomorrow at 10 am - Monday, September 26th)
Loads of Arabic love from Cairo to all of you!
