After a very uncomfortable journey from Melbourne to Christchurch, I arrived in New Zealand at 6 o'clock in the morning.
There I waited for my travel companion Bhupinder who unfortunately had a delayed flight due to a wrongly booked flight. After the first hugs and a heavenly coffee, everything was fine again and we set off to our campervan rental. Happy with our car and after asking several times about our insurance, we set off. Our first stop was the supermarket where we stocked up on food for the whole week. 😋
After a quick snack, we headed to Dunedin where we arrived at our campsite at the beach after a few hours of driving and spent our first, slightly chilly night.
In the week we spent in our spaceship 'Megatron', we visited Nugget Point, Milford Sound, Te Anau, Lumsden, Queenstown, Wanaka, Franz Josef Glacier, Greymouth, the Pancake Rocks and finally crossed the Arthurs Pass to return to Christchurch.
We drove a lot, but we also saw a lot and collected great experiences. Time passed too quickly and saying goodbye was not easy for us. but as they say so nicely: 'Don't cry because it's over, be happy that it happened.' (Or something like that 😅)
