Lost in the labyrinth; confused while refueling

Published: 20.07.2022

After skipping breakfast, we rode around Reggio nell' Emilia, where we are staying, on an e-scooter πŸ›΄

There were a few places and buildings to admire. Since the scooters in the old town only go 6 km/h, we decided to walk to the last stop of the tour, the city theater and the Park del Popolo (hihi) πŸŒ³πŸ›

On the way, we discovered my favorite store, where I've been twice in Milan - Flying Tiger 🐯πŸͺ For all unaware, it's a fancy store that has everything you can wish for, from toys to furnishings to snacks and drinks. As always when I'm there, I bought something and was happy in the morning πŸ˜‡πŸ˜Œ

We ended up going back home on the e-scooter because it would have been too far and hot otherwise πŸ”₯

Then we had a delicious lunch and watched two episodes of Netflix πŸ½πŸ“Ί

Afterwards, we went to the 'Biggest Labyrinth in the World' (as of 2015, there's a bigger one in Denmark now?). It was built by Franco Maria Ricci, a publisher, and is made of bamboo 🌱

First, we visited the accompanying museum where, in addition to his many art collectibles, his published magazines and books were also exhibited on topics such as cities, famous personalities, art and culture. We browsed through them πŸ“˜πŸ“œ

Then we entered the labyrinth. I would say it was of medium difficulty. Thanks to a photographed plan, we could look it up when we got lost. In the middle, which was also the end, you could relax a bit and visit a small church inside a pyramid. Thanks to the newly purchased tin from Flying Tiger, we even had fruit snacks πŸ‡πŸ‰πŸ“. The trip was definitely worth it 😍

On our way home, we wanted to refuel and it was a challenge. It doesn't work like in Germany πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈβ›½οΈ

We stood at the gas pump and wanted to refuel. It didn't work, so I asked a guy who was refueling all the autogas cars. He explained to us that we had to insert our card into the machine and select the pump. It still didn't work. So I put the card back in, got a receipt of 0€, and tried again. Still didn't work. The guy was confused as to why we were still there, he thought we were stupid πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Turns out the pump was just broken. The one next to it worked - Yeay πŸ₯³ The machine and the card were still complicated, as it still showed that our pump was occupied. It turned out we were just too impatient and would have just had to wait a little while ⏱️ But I also didn't want people to use my card to refuel, which I think wouldn't have worked anyway, but oh well πŸ’Έ

When we arrived at the parking lot at home, we made another quick stop at the supermarket to use up the leftovers. We successfully turned them into dinner πŸ›’πŸ₯—πŸπŸ¦

Now we're going to pack, tidy up, watch Netflix, and sleep 😴
