On the 3rd day, we started by sleeping in. After breakfast, we headed towards Downtown. Since Lima is huge, we couldn't walk to Downtown from our hotel. Since a taxi was too expensive, we wanted to take the bus. When we arrived at the bus station, we tried to understand the bus system. It didn't work out. Then we tried to ask the Spanish-speaking employee. With gestures and body language, it worked and we knew which bus to take.
In Downtown, there was a lot on the agenda:
1. La Merced Church
2. Riva Aguera House
3. Santo Domingo Church
4. Casa Aliaga
5. Government Palace
6. Plaza de Armas - Main Square
7. Cathedral
8. Casa de la Literatura Peruana
9. San Francisco Church
10. Congress
11. Chinatown Lima :-), where we also had lunch. Since no one spoke English, it was a very interesting situation. But it worked out.
In the evening, we went out into the city and ended up in an Irish Pub with live music. It was a successful evening.
End of Day 3.
