On this Thursday, I took the Shinkansen and traveled for almost 3 hours to Osaka. From the station, I went to Namba, a huge subway station in the middle of downtown Osaka. My hostel was located amidst some love hotels, where rooms could also be booked by the hour ;). The hostel was very quiet and clean. Surprisingly, I didn't manage to meet anyone, despite staying in an 8-bed dormitory.
For the rest of the day, I planned to visit a shrine. On the way there, I walked 2 km through the subway station, which felt like it stretched endlessly under the city. When I arrived at the shrine, I realized that I was late again. But this time, the shrine attendant personally escorted me out.
One reason for my lateness was the search for the tourist information center in Namba, where I wanted to buy the Amazing Pass for the next day.
After a short walk through the entertainment street called Dontonbori, I returned to the hostel.
