Halftime! May 22nd / Day 53: La-Chapelle-en-Lafaye - Pontempeyrat

So this is the symbolic day: Montarcher conquered with 1162 m, from now on it's downhill.

Really a rest day, in the morning I was the last one to leave the hostel at 9 o'clock. The church appeared in the morning light, and off I went.

Montarcher was quickly reached, fantastic views opened up.

Shortly afterwards one had to decide for the way to Le Puy: Whoever deciphers the signs knows the way.

And so the day was quickly and cheerfully done. With Monique, my 78-year-old host, I had arranged to be picked up at 4 p.m., she lives 12 km off the Camino.
She is so warm-hearted, dinner was fun: she doesn't understand a word of German or English, I don't understand a word of French.
But why do we have WLAN and the language Google translator? 🙄😊
