91st day/29th June: Cardeñuela Riopico - Tardajos

It's so hot on Sunday that we wake up at 5 o'clock. We decided not to stay in Burgos despite the big party in the evening. It's just unbearable at 35 degrees.

First stop at the first open coffee shortly after 6 o'clock. Now it's going well and we're in Burgos by 8 o'clock in the morning.

There's so much to see, we're going to the cathedral first. There's a big celebration mass for St. Paul at 10 o'clock. A big hustle and bustle with all the dignitaries.

Fabricio finds it too hot, so we're going to Tardajos together from 12 o'clock. 25 km in the heat is enough.

There I meet Paul from Stuttgart to my great surprise, whom I had said goodbye to three weeks before. He's already on his way home with his bike- it's going to be a very nice afternoon.
