After breakfast, I took another walk through Morelia. The city is transformed in the morning freshness, almost empty - wonderful! By the way, the stone houses are typical of the Centro Histórico of Morelia.
After that, I drove to Pátzcuaro by car, a small town on the lake of the same name. Unfortunately, I couldn't get close to the lake anywhere, and I didn't feel really safe as the only tourist around in the town. That's why I continued to Santa Clara del Cobre, another small town nearby. Virginia told me that there is copper handicrafts to buy there. Unfortunately, I didn't feel comfortable there either, so I finally went back to Morelia. The state of Michoacán is dealing with security problems outside the capital, as apparently several drug cartels are active here. That's why I didn't want to take any risks...
Back in Morelia, I went to a shopping mall inspired by American models, it's okay to do a little shopping sometimes.
Finally, I had dinner near the hotel at the restaurant "La conspiración de 1809", where I had Tostada de Atún and Lengua de Res (beef tongue). Very delicious!
