Phew, what a day!
Today we only drove about 400 km, but because we wanted to avoid toll roads this time to enjoy the beautiful scenery, it was quite complicated here and there.
The first stretch from France to the Spanish border was beautiful. We saw great little towns and landscapes. Later, however, the navigation became a bit complicated. In addition, we hadn't eaten anything after our muesli in the morning and it started raining. We had a particularly highly rated campsite in the Spanish coastal town of Llanes in mind and after an adventurous journey there, we got a spot. With a mixture of Spanish, French, and English (this time it wasn't because of our lack of language skills - the owners of the place seemed to only speak plain Spanish) we got a spot in pouring rain that couldn't have been nicer (irony off). We made the best of it and enjoyed our dinner under the hatch. The reviews of this campsite (Camping la paz, llanes) were more than good and so we were very relieved to finally have good sanitary facilities. The bottom line: we were glad that the toilets had a toilet seat.
Good night.
