First day of school oh

Published: 14.08.2018

The school we visit is small but oh. In our class, there are four of us, Cony, me, an 18-year-old German and a 44-year-old German. The teachers are awesome! At the end of the four hours, we have already learned a lot of new things (but my head feels like it's about to explode). Due to the cognitive high performance, I don't have much linguistic skill left for this post, sorry! There was a sign on the bulletin board at school advertising free Zumba (with voluntary donations for stray dogs/cats). We wrote down the number. Back at the hostel, we presented our newly acquired Spanish skills to the Mexicans, two French people and a Dutch woman at the pool (our French is currently on fire đź‘Ś). Then we decided to go to Zumba and messaged the Zumba lady on WhatsApp. She said 'great, now I can fill the class'. When we arrived on the street, we couldn't find the 'Zumba school'. A few Colombians tried to show us where it was (Btw, Colombians are soooo nice and always try to help). We pointed to pretty much every door on the street until we realized that the Zumba is ON the street... and we were the only participants... and Colombian families were sitting on plastic chairs, staring at us. Alright... Eventually, 3-4 Colombian women and a few children arrived half an hour late and we danced Salsa-Zumba on the street. I don't want to know how many videos of tourists and locals we are in... but there are many... very many. In the end, it was really maaaaad cool (for Cony not anymore, as she danced barefoot on the hot street and can hardly stand on her feet now).
