On the GR 20 through Corsica

After a few days of 'hiking break' in Germany, I continue on the GR 20 in Corsica. I have heard a lot about this trail. It crosses Corsica from north to south, is very impressive with its alpine character, but also quite demanding to hike. I only replace my sleeping bag with my proven equipment.
From Bastia Airport, I take the bus via Bastia and Calvi to Calenzana. There I camp at the Gite d' Etape Municipal. It is already clear here that many others will also be hiking on the GR 20. The next morning I start the first stage to the Refuge de l' Ortu di u Piobbu. There is not much time to acclimatize. It goes steadily uphill 😳 Several climbing passages provide pleasant variety. The stages are essentially fixed, as camping is only allowed at the refuges. Since I arrive at the destination quite early, I can still choose a nice campsite.
