Nothing going on today

The rain ruined our plans again. It rained, sometimes heavily, until early afternoon today. Except for a short trip to the store, we didn't accomplish anything until then. But maybe it's good for Jule, as she's still a bit sick. Ironically, Mom didn't pack cough syrup. Who needs that in the summer anyway? The only thing left to do was to take care of the sunburn and mosquito bites from yesterday. Papa, being the Mediterranean type, got it particularly bad... After Jule finally fell asleep completely exhausted at two-thirty, Mom had a moment to read the newspaper and the rest went to the beach. The afternoon was rain-free for a change, so the kids could play in the wet sand. Philip even went swimming again.
