Paraty

Finally coastal air! Arrived on the Brazilian coast, our first stop was Paraty. Here, the Portuguese built beautiful small white houses. In front of Paraty, there are a bunch of small islands and great beaches. To explore them, we booked a boat tour. Behind the beaches, it is already quite jungle-like and the coast of Brazil is more hilly than expected.

As a special treat, monkeys always visited us at our campsite in the morning, wanting to see what we were up to.
