After having breakfast yesterday, we set off for Sequoia National Park 🏕️⛰️🌲🪵 at 7:00 AM.
In the national park, we first visited and climbed Moro Rock ⛰️. From the top, we could see smoke coming from a distant forest fire. After Moro Rock, we drove towards Giant Forest to see the thick, ancient mountain sequoias (Giant Sequoias). The thickest and heaviest tree in the world is the General Sherman Tree, which is 2200 years old. Then we continued driving towards Kings Canyon and bathed in the South Fork of the Kings River at the end of the canyon 🥶. (I in my undergarments 🫣😂😂) It felt like only 10 degrees. But it was totally refreshing. Afterward, my whole body was tingling. Wonderful! 😊
We also stopped at Grizzly Falls. One of the few waterfalls that still has water flowing at the moment. Many waterfalls are currently dry.
We had booked our accommodation in Fresno, where we then drove to.
It was a wonderful day with many, many new impressions😍
Unfortunately, I cannot upload pictures right now. They will come later!
