Hello everyone,
Here I am again, with the report of the past week. There isn't much to report from this week. On Saturday and Sunday (April 2-3), I worked at the bar. On Saturday, a cool band played and on Sunday it was quite quiet, which gave me the opportunity to talk a little with the guests and my colleagues and get used to the setup of the bar. My coworker was also very nice and showed me a few typical drinks that are ordered here.
The rest of the week was quite quiet. On Wednesday, I had a job interview with a temp agency and on Friday I signed a contract there. Hopefully, I will get my first job in the next few days. I'll keep you updated. Other than that, this week I just went shopping and applied for jobs at my next preferred station, so please keep your fingers crossed.
On the weekend, I worked at the bar again. Nice 9 and 8 hours each, so that it finally pays off and money flows into my account.
Yesterday (Sunday, April 9), I went hiking and walked a section of the Coastal Walkway. I walked from Diamond Harbour to Purau, which is about 3 km each way. The weather was simply fantastic and even the drive there was worth it, as I drove along the coast almost the entire time. However, the hiking trail itself was unfortunately not well signposted, so I only found a signposted parking lot for this trail after about half of the distance I wanted to walk. Very sad. But the path I then walked was very nice and partly quite adventurous, as I had to climb over rocks and often there was not much space between my path and the cliff edge. In the end, I arrived at a beach where I enjoyed the sun a bit and watched other people.
That's all from this week. I wish you all a nice short week.
See you soon,
Jessi
