Now it has really happened, we have to go home. The short stopover in Singapore is a bit of a culture and heat shock. Just a few days ago, we were quietly observing the blue penguins returning in the evening, and the weather was cooler. Here in the city, it's bustling and humid with 30 degrees. There are also more people living in Singapore than in all of New Zealand - so it's a bit crowded here.
But the sights of a big city are not bad either. Yesterday, we admired a light show at Marina Bay and the gardens there. The Singapore skyline is also impressive.
We also met a colleague who is working here for 3 months - he showed us around a bit.
Now we are already at the airport, which is also an attraction itself with a butterfly garden, waterfall, lots of plants, and of course plenty of shops - and we are preparing for the final leg home :-)
After so many impressions and a great vacation, it's also nice to come home.
