ONE! Here comes the sun. TWO!

In Neubrandenburg we spent a few relaxing days with Johanna's family and friends, did our laundry, relaxed by Lake Tollense, and planned our upcoming weeks for our onward journey. Of course, we couldn't miss the delicious asparagus meal during the main season, and let's not forget Johanna's famous dance videos that I have wanted to show Pascal for ages.

Finally, on May 20th, the long-awaited day arrived after 2 years of waiting and the COVID-19 measures in Germany were relaxed enough for the Rammstein concert to take place. Late in the morning, we drove by car for about 4 hours to Leipzig to Johanna M.'s brother and his family. Upon arrival in Leipzig, we changed clothes and finally made our way to the long-awaited RAMMSTEIN concert. I think the pictures we upload here speak for themselves: it was simply an incredible and phenomenal concert with a mega show. Luckily, we had covered seats in the stadium, as the concert had to be temporarily interrupted due to a thunderstorm and the standing places had to be evacuated. The best songs that stayed in our memory were Sonne, Radio, Engel, and Mein Herz brennt. After the concert, we had a midnight snack on the food strip in front of the stadium and then went to bed. We spent the rest of the weekend with Johanna's family before being dropped off in Berlin on Sunday by Johanna's parents. Fortunately, Johanna's former study colleague N. was kind enough to give us a place to stay. We spent the evening in a bar with Johanna's classmates. It was a really nice reunion. After sleeping in on the morning of May 23rd and being treated to a delicious breakfast by N. and S., we relaxed in the park in Berlin-Lichtenberg. Then it was time to pack our backpacks again and have a sushi lunch at Ostkreuz before taking public transportation to Berlin Airport (BER). At this point, we would like to thank Johanna's parents (H. and S.), M. and L., as well as N. and S. for their warm hospitality.
