African heat and African cold

While we hear about record temperatures in Europe, it is deep winter and freezing cold here in the south of Namibia! The highest temperature yesterday was 18°C, and the lowest temperature in the morning was 2°C. It seems like all the warmth is in Europe. No, of course, such temperatures are normal for this time of year here. We enjoy the sunset in a jacket and the nights in a warm sleeping bag (even in the lodges), then simply in addition to the warm white blankets.
