The day after/il giorno dopo

The next day, we go to 'Piazza San Angelo' in our regular bar for breakfast. In Italy, a bar can serve as a meeting point, a regular pub, a fast food restaurant, or a place where you quickly have your breakfast. The breakfast in Italy is not very extensive. It consists of an espresso and a so-called brioche/cornetto (which is similar to a French croissant).

The bar owners immediately recognize us and greet us warmly. You don't forget the friendly 'Germans' who always take their dishes to the counter. And you don't forget a blond German named Felix who starts speaking Italian out of nowhere.

Il giorno dopo, andiamo in 'Piazza San Angelo' nel nostro bar abituale per la colazione. I proprietari del bar ci riconoscono subito e ci salutano contenti. Non dimenticate i simpatici 'tedeschi' che portano sempre i loro piatti al bancone. E non dimenticherete un tedesco biondo di nome Felix che inizia a parlare italiano dal nulla.
