Actually, I'm a pathetic wimp! Just the internship would fill me up and make me full!
But that's not sabbatical-like. Sabbatical means pushing the boundaries, giving it all, going beyond oneself.
And so I decided to do something after work every day in the greatest city in the world and not go to bed at 6:30 pm.
🎉
On Sunday, I attended the evening service at the Berlin Cathedral.
On Tuesday, I watched a movie at the 'Sneak' at Treptower Park with Bille, Rainer, and Klara.
To have some variety, I went to the cinema on Wednesday. 😂
The City Cinema Wedding has been on my list for 2 years. It was a recommendation from the Celler cinema 'achteinhalb'. And it was awesome! They have a great program, a totally likeable style, and a cute charm. When I walked up the stairs and the movie poster of 'Luca tanzt leise' smiled at me, I thought, 'Welcome home, it's beautiful here!'
On Tuesday, I went to a pub in Kreuzberg, just to be in a pub in Kreuzberg... and at LIDL. 😂
On Thursday, I met up with little Lea after work. It was sooo nice! 😇
We visited the 'Alltag in der DDR' exhibition at the Kulturbrauerei and then had a coffee there.
Afterwards, we said goodbye to each other and were almost out of sight.
Then we both had the same thought.
We turned on our heels and ran towards each other - like in a bad romantic movie - and it burst out of both of us at the same time: 'Hey, today is Döner Thursday'!
And so the day ended at 'Ali Baba!' on Danziger Straße / corner Schönhauser Allee.
And today, we're going to the theater!
Ulrich Matthes reads Franz Kafka's 'The Metamorphosis'.
