A very intense day in Budapest...

First, I dutifully paid off my debts at the café. It still shocks me that every bill here amounts to well over 100,- if not over 1000,-. These crazy Hungarians.

Afterwards, I climbed up the tower of the basilica.

A magnificent view (including fear of heights, of course.)

Then I visited Europe's largest synagogue, took a tour, visited the Holocaust exhibition, and saw the Jewish Museum.

In the afternoon, I went to the Great Market Hall...

... and took a boat ride in the evening.
