Merry Christmas!!!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I spent mine in Rhode Island with my host parents' parents and siblings, plus 6 dogs and 2 cats. The days were very relaxed and entertaining. I get along great with everyone and I'm very happy that they have included me so much.
To get in the Christmas spirit, I spent 8 hours over two days baking German cookies and decorating with my little one, which were a big hit.
We celebrated Christmas on December 26th with presents and a big Christmas dinner. Unfortunately, we didn't have a white Christmas here, but we went for a walk on the beach instead.
On December 28th, we hosted a Christmas party at the beach house, where I had the opportunity to meet the rest of the extended family.
This was my first Christmas without my family, so of course I missed them even more than usual. However, I'm still doing well with homesickness because I feel so comfortable here and I'm doing so much. Now one third of my year here is already over, it went by so quickly for me.
