Knysna - Trip to The Heads

Today we slept in again, after the days with the wake-up call at 05:00 in Shamwari, it was a different experience. After a good Swiss breakfast with Nicole (there was even Zopf and different types of bread), we set off for 'The Heads'.

A good fifteen minutes by car and we were already in the parking lot at the various viewing points overlooking Knysna and the Indian Ocean. Wonderful views back to Knysna and of the Indian Ocean surf. Then a detour to the beach, where we could experience the surf up close.

Afterwards, we drove to the East Head Cafe and had something to eat together (Cesar's Salad and Fish & Chips). There is also a magnificent view of the mouth of the Knysna Lagoon and the sea.

On the way back, we had to fill up with petrol again and then took a quick look at the Knysna Waterfront. Then back to Cambalala Guesthouse to relax a bit.

At 6:00 PM, we asked Nicole to arrange a taxi to take us to the Waterfront. A short walk through the Waterfront, credit card friendly - as most of the shops were already closed - gave us an overview.

After a simple dinner, the taxi picked us up again and took us back to Cambalala Guesthouse.
