Day 6 - 27.07.2023 Savus Educational Trail and Grad Sevnica

Today we went to Radeče for a about 5 km circular hike on the 'Savus Educational Trail'. We started right by the Sava River and followed along. We passed by a playground, various information boards about the river and the area, a big chair, a tree quiz, fruit plantations, and more. After turning away from the river, we also passed by cornfields and cauliflower fields. It was a beautiful circular path with great views and actually no people... but plenty of animals like ducks, seagulls, cranes, dragonflies, butterflies,... and even nine otters that we could observe swimming and cleaning at the swimming pool.

After refueling with ice cream and coffee, we went to Sevnica Castle. Again, we had a great view of the area and the river as well as the vineyards. The castle was also quite nice and, because there were only a few people here as well, quite idyllic in the park behind the castle....
