Today hiking in Triglav National Park. Start was at Sportni Center Triglav in Rudno polje, Pokljuka (Biathlon center - Martin really wanted to see) and the destination was Uskovnica Alm. The parking lot was busy, but it cleared up along the way. Still, there were noticeably more people here, including many cyclists, than on our other hikes when we were still staying in Terme Catez.
It was about 200 meters downhill to the hut, which we naturally had to hike back uphill. The distance to the alpine pasture was about 4 km, so in total about 8 km. We passed by small stone circles, many meadows and pastures, a small stream, and the Maria Chapel with a view of the mountains, which were unfortunately a bit cloudy.
In the end, we even got to watch athletes training for biathlon, shooting and skiing on wheels...the girls found it interesting too.
