4th stage Blankenberge β> Pont-Audemer 383 KM (total 839 KM)
Today we went with the bikes to Honfleur, which is 30 km away. It should have been a 1:20h ride, but it turned out to be almost 3 hours. In France, you either have to share the road with cars and 40-ton trucks because there are no bike paths, or you have to have the COBI-BIKE-APP and have installed all the bike routes in France.
Our route turned out to be an adventure - quiet roads, meadows, forest paths, and rocky sections that reminded us more of an end moraine from the Ice Age - we had to push the bikes π³π.
No signage and except for one exception, we didn't see any cyclists or hikers far and wide - just pure nature!
Long live Cobi and long live E-VΓ©lo - without them we would have been completely lost.
On the way, we passed the mouth of the Seine River and the cable-stayed bridge "Pont de Normandi".
Honfleur is a nice little fishing village, very nice to look at and well developed for tourists ππ.
Once we arrived, our reward was a fresh portion of oysters and a glass of π·. Vive la France! ππ
Thanks for the tip, Guido π.
