01.01.2018 Happy New Year in Bangkok

Happy New Year!

This photo was taken on Khao San Road. The atmosphere was loud and lively, but totally peaceful. We felt very comfortable among all these people.

We spent New Year's Eve at a local restaurant, with many nations, good food, good beer, and sparklers that the waitress handed us five minutes before midnight.

It's wonderful to sit outside at midnight at 27° and enjoy the atmosphere.

The night at the hotel was not too long. We have to adjust from the jet lag to the normal rhythm :-) Today we are already planning our next stop, on the way from Bangkok to Chiang Mai.

It will probably be the city of Ayutthaya, which we want to reach by boat or train.
