Orchard Road

We started the day a little earlier and finally found a good bakery right around the corner from us! After that, we took the MRT to Orchard Road with the goal of walking along it until we reached Ion Shopping Center. After walking for 20 minutes, we realized that we were going in the wrong direction :D (it was a very hot and sunny day, we must mention!) There is a competition among the shopping centers where you can vote for the most beautifully decorated one for Christmas. So you can imagine how overly kitschy it looks here! (Every, really every store is playing Christmas music :D)





When we arrived at Ion Shopping Center, Ion Sky had not yet opened, so we went to Pizza Hut for a meal in the meantime. (Yes, we know, very Asian! :D) After that, we went to Ion Sky, an observation platform on the 56th floor of the shopping center. Here we had one of the most beautiful views over all of Singapore. (For free!) The view up here was truly breathtakingly beautiful. 😍




After that, we went to Raffles City Shopping Center to eat the tastiest wraps in town! :D Suddenly, it started thundering and raining heavily (it hardly ever rains that heavily in Germany!) and we were stuck in the shopping center for 2 hours. It may not sound so bad, but once again, we couldn't afford anything here! :D When we finally could continue, the air was even more humid than usual. Back home, we were happy with our super cheap Oreo cookies! :D
