First Competition

Today was the foil competition. At the hotel, I got a sandwich that I couldn't eat on an empty stomach. I thought there would be catering like at all tournaments, but there was nothing. There was no coffee either... So I managed to get by with a banana, apple, water, and a few nuts until 3 PM. After the preliminary round, I was in 28th place out of 44, which I would have been fine with as a final result, but I lost the first knockout match against an Italian. I just couldn't think of anything on the piste. Unfortunately, I slipped to 34th place. 😪

Even with breakfast, it probably would have turned out the same ...
