Departure from Augsburg

Not exactly easy to get to the platform with a fencing bag the size of a living room cabinet and heavy as a safe, plus a backpack. But I managed, even though the bus was delayed and the tram was stuck in traffic. I was already sweating – not just because of the luggage. At the bus stop, neighbor Dieter passed by and wished me good luck and a nice time. Met an old acquaintance at the train station – an art historian, who seemed to regard us and our luggage as a modern installation and curiously asked what was all inside. In a packed ICE to Munich, now on the RailJet to Vienna.
