Eigentlich fing der Tag heute ganz gut an

The approach to Kandy was very beautiful, unfortunately I only made videos from the train and I can't show them here. The doors are open in the 2nd class and I was half outside with my mobile phone. The seats at the open door are very popular, but I was lucky.

In Kandy it was then dark and overcast and finally it rained heavily. The train station is crowded, the streets congested and so full of exhaust fumes that I felt sick. But I still had hope for Buddha and the Royal Palace. Here I wanted to celebrate my 60th birthday today with Heinzi with a good meal in a quiet environment.

Long story short: I didn't even have time to get dressed up. Off to the temple to watch the dances through the smoke, it's still raining ...

Recommendation: a normal restaurant with only tourists ... Backpack food ... off to the mediocre accommodation. I am so disappointed 😟

Heinzi brought beer, I got myself 2 cigarettes 😜.

Tomorrow we will go to Buddha and I will light incense sticks. Then we will leave here one day earlier and go to the mountains.

By the way, the temple with Buddha's tooth is in the middle of the hustle and bustle .... poor Buddha.
