On this day, our travel group split up. While our ladies preferred a beach walk at Praia da Alagoa, the crazy boys went to the golf course. As the Algarve is not sparing with golf courses, it is always easy to find a fancy spot here. We opted for Quinta de Benamor right outside our doorstep. My two caddies took care of me excellently on the 18 holes, which we completed in just over four hours. The drinks, always nicely chilled in the cooler, were chauffeured around the lovely golf course by the two bros. Unfortunately, we didn't get the spectacular views that you usually find on coastal golf courses here. As for the game itself, I have to say that everything was there - from 'I can do it' to 'screw this game, I'm giving up'. So, overall, we played very consistently inconsistently.
After a little nap for the athlete and a pool session for the kids, it was family time. We strolled through Santa Luzia and Tavira once again, enjoying some delicious treats along the way, and ended our evening on the rooftop terrace of Restaurant O Pátio in Tavira. A balmy summer night, the starry sky above us, and a glass of wine in front of us. Wonderful! For all romantics out there: This is the part where the sobbing 'Oooohhhh' is typically used.
Tomorrow, we're heading to the water park - Slide & Splash...we're going to get our swim trunks wet!
