Mileage: 4122

Outside temperature: 21°C

After a very restless night for some, we had a rich breakfast at a star restaurant of a well-known American chain. For Finn, it was the first croissant of his life and it seemed to taste good. Unfortunately, Mom and Dad had to do without eggs, just like the rest of the restaurant visitors.

Feeling refreshed and strapped in, we headed towards Denmark. Finn fell asleep right away until we encountered the first traffic jam. We managed to leave it behind relatively quickly with some courage and then took a break at the Soltau-Süd rest area. We had a small lunch snack in the camper and then took an extensive walk. Then we hit the road again and shortly after, we arrived at our overnight destination, 'Caravanpark am Brahmsee'. We also paid a visit to the nearby nature park, Arche Warder. It is a center for traditional domestic animal breeds, where you can see sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, and cattle that you don't normally see. There were geese, shaggy donkeys, and hungry sheep as well, which frightened Finn with their bleating and made him cry.

However, the most impressive were the pigs, which not only delighted with cute piglets but also made an impression with their sheer size. Some boars had bellies that hung down to the ground.

After enjoying a pork sausage, we made our way back to the camper. After a light dinner, we went straight to bed, where everyone could catch up on their missed sleep. The amount of rest was a bit mysterious for us, as it was very unusual (except for the sounds of birds, there were no other noises).
