Berlin Day 4 - Journey back home

Our short city trip has come to an end. Today at 14:30 our train should head towards home. Since we still had some time, we decided to go to the city center again. The hotel kindly allowed us to leave our luggage after checking out. The weather was a bit friendlier today and we even caught a few rays of sunshine.

Spree Boat Tour

We didn't feel like walking much today, so we decided to take a boat tour on the Spree River. This way we could see a bit more of Berlin without having to move around too much ;) We started at the Museum Island, passed through the Nikolaviertel, and went by the government district.

Brandenburg Gate - The Last One

After the one-hour ride, we quickly walked to the Brandenburg Gate to take a few last photos.

Because it was so nice, we also had one last Currywurst, and then we had to make our way back. We collected our luggage, went to the train station where we took the train back home, and said goodbye to Berlin.

Conclusion

Berlin is loud, crowded, and full of peculiar people. It was okay for a few days and I found it really interesting to see our capital city, but I definitely wouldn't want to live here. I realized that I am not a big city person. After a short time, the many people constantly talking to me just annoyed me. In addition, it was hard to do anything without having to wait in line for a long time and then getting lost in a crowd. Unfortunately, the weather didn't make things any better. I think it could have been nice with good weather. We could have just sat somewhere or strolled around leisurely. I'm glad I've been there, but I don't think Berlin will see me again soon. And if it does, it better be nice weather!
