There are still miracles. Without much fuss, we arrived at Gate Z69 😅 And that really means something. According to the Lufthansa app, our suitcases were loaded (hopefully onto the correct plane), we had our passports (which is not usual in FFM, but that's another story), and only my 'drug case' had to undergo an explosives test. I actually managed to avoid it 😅 But somehow I already miss it.
Boarding started on time and went pretty quickly. We took off from Frankfurt at 11:05 am. The flight was relatively calm, no annoying people around us, I was satisfied. And I can also claim the same about Jörg now 😅
Upon arrival in SF, a joyful surprise, our suitcases were actually there🥰
With all our luggage, we continued to the Rental Car Terminal. We stood there for almost an hour until we got our rental car. But well, we were not the only ones. We fought our way through the city to the hotel just in time for the rush hour. Here at the Buena Vista Motor Inn, we were lucky again and snagged the last parking spot in the garage💪🏼 Check-in, put the suitcases in the room, and driven by hunger, we headed towards the water. We walked along the water through the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy to Fisherman's Wharf. On the way, we caught a first glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.
After that, we only had a quick bite to eat before heading back to the hotel. And now, here we are, a bit crumpled after a long day, lazily lying on the bed. Over & out.
