The first week has happened. We were able to check in at the hostel at night, we met the first friends, we have gained a lot of knowledge, we can communicate well, surprisingly we bought a campervan called 'Alfrida' from two Danes and now we are resting in the shade for a siesta. Protected from the fire red ants that love to crawl on us. Our skin is brown or burnt. But we are happy, partially relaxed and frequently jumping in the waves. Walking to islands when the sea recedes and resting together with the sunset. Eating balanced and regional fruits and vegetables. We have overcome some unforeseen challenges. We have three campervan plants and are open to the next few days. Our route led us from Auckland - away from the crowds - to Hot Water Beach, then to Whitianga, from there to Te Mata, and along the coast. Once around the Coromandel Forest and now we are on a beautiful beach in Whangamata. Until we return to Auckland in a week to open our bank account and meet friends again. Then we head north, Bay of Islands, Kerikeri and so on. We still can't believe it and enjoy every second. Since we don't have a power connection, my laptop says goodbye right away. Until then!
