On Friday morning, we prepared for the journey again. The return journey went through beautiful hilly landscapes towards the north.
In Tarsogno, we made a short stop with espresso and a bathroom break. By chance, we discovered a small delicatessen shop with fresh mushrooms, chestnuts, grapes, and many other delicious treats. It's no surprise that Berni had to stock up on honey there. 😝
Because we took a lot of time for the route on secondary roads, we went on the highway to Piacenza. We bypassed Milan and arrived at Lake Como in Lenno. We checked in again at the La' Vedo campsite, where we had been in the spring. We took a walk along the lakeside promenade, but it soon became rainy. We had a very delicious pizza at the restaurant on the campsite, and then it was time to say 'Good night' to Emily for the last time on this trip... 💤
