After our first negative experience in New Zealand, we made a short stopover in Auckland and on Mount Eden.
This time we continued towards the south, to Coromandel. We took a small bus early in the morning to the famous Hot Water Beach. At Hot Water Beach, you can dig your own little pool right by the crashing sea. Since the water comes from a hot spring, it was sometimes so hot that you could hardly stand it. That was quite funny, but the many people who were sitting in a small sand hole there were a bit suspicious to us. So we enjoyed the view of the sea instead.Our second destination, Cathedral Cove, was much, much more beautiful. The relatively short but demanding hiking trail there was definitely worth it, because it was simply stunning! Once to Narnia? The atmosphere was definitely there. So we simply sat in the sand, enjoyed the sun and the view, and waited for Aslan and Prince Caspian. Instead, from time to time, a water taxi passed by, which brought the "lazy people" over the water to Cathedral Cove, but had some problems bringing the bridge ashore due to the strong waves. No one arrived on land dry, and we had a good laugh about that. See you soon 😇☀️
